Good bye, Diablo Rojo!

The reign of Panama’s red devils (diablos rojos) on the roads of Panama is drawing to a close. Owners of the diablos rojos to be replaced by Metro buses on the nine remaining routes of Panama City, should receive their government compensation by March 15.

The news came after a Tuesday, February 18 meeting between representatives of the government and carriers at the presidential palace.

According to the Ministry of Communications of the State, this process is expected to end on 15 March. The government was represented by Minister of Presidency Roberto Henriquez, Minister of Government, Jorge Ricardo Fabrega, and the director of the Transit Authority (ATTT), Ventura Vega.

Leaders of the carriers asked for a reviews review of cases of their peers who have not received their compensation, although they have given up their buses.
