Copa Airlines adds new flight to San Francisco

As of September 17 Copa Airlines adds one more flight to the destinations in the United States. The 13th destination will be San Francisco, California. As in general, the airline already provides direct flight to 74 cities in 30 countries worldwide.

Daily flight to San Francisco will be operated with the use of new Boeing 737-800 which is able to carry up to 154 passengers.

San Francisco is one of the major hubs between North America and Asia, which is why new destination will significantly increase connectivity of Tocumen International. Plus there are such daily destinations such as Seattle, Portland and Vancouver and many other.

“We are happy to offer our passengers daily flights to such wonderful city. San Francisco is major tourist, commercial, financial and technological center with strong ties to Latin America,” said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines. “The new flight to San Francisco will greatly improve options for business and leisure travelers from Panama and other countries in Latin America”, he added.

Co-sharing with United Airlines, at the moment Copa offers flights to Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Miami, Boston, Las Vegas, Orlando, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale. Starting June 24 the airline will also provide four weekly flights to New Orleans.

During the first four months of 2015 Copa Airlines had transported 5.4 million passengers, which is an increase of 4.8% comparing to the last year period.
