Panama in the top 10 countries to visit according to Lonely Planet

The adventurers who are planning their next trip, however, haven’t made their plans yet, Panama is in the top 10 countries to visit next year, according to Lonely Planet travel guide on the ten countries that awakens the imagination of travelers.

In this ranking, Panama comes as the fourth best country to visit. With it comes a brief review of all the benefits plus a colorful photo of coral reefs in Bocas del Toro with its exact location on the map.

The first position is occupied by Sri Lanka, followed by Germany, Zimbabwe, Panama Kyrgyzstan, Jordan, Indonesia, Sao Tome, and Principe and finally, Belize.

Gustavo Him, Minister of Tourism of Panama, expressed his great satisfaction with such set of events and Panama among the best countries to travel.

"It’s been achieved with the international advertising campaign in the United States, Canada, Spain and now China. Our market strategy "Not Only for Tourists", aimed at those travelers who seek to live unique experiences, is paying off, "he said.

Welcome to the crossroads of the Americas, says the article. The publication mentions the famous Biomuseo of Panama which showcases the biodiversity of Panama, the country that became a blend of North and South Americas. “East meets West through expanding world trade, with the world’s biggest cargo ships traveling the recently revamped Panama Canal” - states Lonely Planet. And we think, indeed if not nature, the top reason why tourists come to Panama is the Canal.

The guide also highlights that Panama has so many treasures in such a small territory: white sand beaches, tropical forests, misty highlands, and indigenous tribes.

In addition, it highlights that in 2019 Panama City, the fusion of history and modernity, is committed to celebrating its 500 years of history  "as never before": with an anniversary that you do not want to miss.

In addition to the "ranking" of the best countries to visit, Lonely Planet also selects each year the ten best cities, regions and places with the best quality-price relation.
